Beulah Ufford, 80

Beulah Ufford, 80, of Dumont, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Franklin Country View Care Center, Hampton. Funeral service was 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, at the Dumont Reformed Church. Burial followed at the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation was 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, Dumont.

Beulah Ufford was born August 15, 1944, near Hansell, a daughter of Ben and Mary (Buseman) Krull. She attended Dumont Schools, graduating with the class of 1962. She was united in marriage with R. Dean Ufford April 26, 1968, at the Dumont Reformed Church. Together they raised 4 children.

Beulah worked as an aide at the Dumont Care Center, retiring after 34 years of dedicated work. She was a member of the Dumont Reformed Church, enjoyed taking care of her flowers and mowing, anything to be outside. With her husband and children, they farmed for 15 years, milking red and white Holsteins. She was always partial to her Holsteins, getting rid of a pony that would chase them in the pastures. She really did love any animal but after the Holsteins, her St. Bernards were her favorite. She was a caring and forgiving mom who enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She walked five miles every day and was a whiz at crossword puzzles.

Family includes her husband of 57 years, R. Dean Ufford; daughter: Dawn (Travis) Hines, Dumont; sons: Dan (Tracy), Aredale; Benji (Crystol), Dumont; Brad (Tara), Dumont; grandchildren: Shelby Hines; Tyler (fiancé Paige Durbrow) Hines; Paiten (Chriss) Cavazos; Kelsey (Seth) Bram; Karrine (Jordan) Kuepfer; Morgan Ufford; Emily (fiancé John Ficaro) Ufford; Owen, Stella, Alivia, Triston and Lexi Ufford; 8 great grandchildren; brothers: Marvin Krull; James (Dee) Krull; nieces and nephews.

Beulah is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters: Shirley, Lavonne and Merla.
