Robert (Bob) Smith

                                OBITUARY OF ROBERT K. SMITH (BOB)

Robert (Bob) Smith was born in Cherokee County (Iowa) on September 10, 1951 and passed on October 1, 2024 in Plano, TX from a brief illness due to complications from cancer.   Bob was preceded in death by his adoptive parents Ken and Annette Smith of Allison,  IA and by a brother, Richard H. Robinson.    Bob is survived by two sisters, Jan Heffron of Waterloo, IA and Nancy Lukasheay of Nevada, TX and a brother, Gary Hansen of Powderly, TX.

Bob completed high school and 2 years of college at Kemper Military School in Boonville, MO where he  also attended the University of Missouri.    Several  years later he completed his BA degree in Communications at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

The majority of Bob’s working career was in sales in many areas including audio/visual technology, automotive, electronics and food.   His jobs took him to Denver, Los Angeles, North Carolina and finally to Dallas where he retired with his best friend, Buddy, his Chihuahua.
