Lois Jean Milius, age 92
Lois Jean Milius, age 92, of Clarksville, Iowa, was promoted to Glory on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Lois was born to Glenn and Dorothy (Stickman) Hurd on September 10, 1931. She received her education and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1948. Lois attended Iowa State
Teachers College for a year before returning to Clarksville to work as a secretary at Hurd’s Insurance Agency.
On April 9, 1950, Lois was united in marriage with Ronald Milius and to this union, three children were born: Craig, Sheri and Chad. Lois enjoyed going to auctions and was an antique dealer for many years. She often traveled to shows with her daughter, Sheri. She made many friends along the way. Family was very important to her and would attend her grandchildren’s school and church events when she could. Lois was a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Lois is survived by her three children, Craig Milius of Plainfield, Iowa, Sheri (Howard) Foutch of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Chad (Sharon) Milius of Kenefic, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Seth (Marcie) Milius, Inge and Britta Milius, Shannon (Marcus) Sletten and Sonya Foutch, Weston (Gracie) Pope and Kamrie Milius; three great grandchildren, Marcus Sletten IV, Isla and Emma Milius; one sister, Marlene McCormack of New Hampshire.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date with interment at Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville, IA. Memorials may be directed to the Clarksville United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member.
