Judy Annette Taylor, 82
Judy Annette Taylor, age 82, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the daughter of Robert and LaVonne (Behrends) Bohner on June 22, 1941, at home. She received her education at Country School and later from Charles City High School.
On May 31, 1958, Judy was united in marriage with Chester Dale Taylor at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. After marriage the couple made their home in Clarksville. Through the years Judy worked alongside Chester with his business, Taylor Repair in Clarksville. She helped with bookkeeping, running errands, and delivering cars to and from the repair shop. Most of all she took care of her home and family.
Judy was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville and helped with Sunday School teaching. She was a volunteer member of the Clarksville Food Pantry for over 25 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and taking their yearly trip to Longville, MN. She also enjoyed gardening, people watching, garage sales, and taking care of her son Lynn. She loved the time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Judy passed away at her home in Clarksville, of natural causes. Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Chester, on January 2, 2016; her parents, Robert Bohner and LaVonne Fritze; son, Rick Taylor; and sister, Pat Larue.
Judy is survived by her son, Lynn Taylor of Clarksville, IA; her daughter, Julie (Todd) Moser of Tofte, MN; two grandchildren, Holly (Matt) Speer and Cody Moser; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Peggy) Bohner of Charles City, IA and Don (Marlys) Bohner of Charles City, IA; sisters, Marilyn (Dave) Thoe, of Golden, CO and Sharon (LeRoy) Rover of Charles City, IA; brothers-in-law, Tom (Pam) Taylor of Shell Rock, IA and Jerry (Linda) Taylor of Greene, IA; and sisters-in-law, Donna Taylor of Plainfield, IA and Kathy (Dennis) Hobson of Greene, IA.
Memorial Services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Redman Funeral & Cremation Services in Clarksville, Iowa, with Pastor Val Swinton officiating. Lynn Taylor and Randy Busching sang, “How Great Thou Art”. The congregation sang “Old Rugged Cross” recorded by Alan Jackson. Burial will be held at a later date with Teresa Poland and Jessie Deitz serving as Honorary Urnbearers.
Visitation was held one hour before services, on Monday, at Redman Funeral & Cremation Services in Clarksville. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.redmanfuneral.com
