Judy Ann Aukes

Judy Ann Aukes was born the daughter of Howard Elvin and Darlene Fern (Elliott) Wagner on February 23, 1947, in Hampton, Iowa. Judy grew up in Bristow, Iowa, and attended school at Allison-Bristow. On January 18, 1964, she was united in marriage to Jerry Aukes at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Judy devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, embracing her role as a full-time homemaker and mother to her three boys. In the years that followed, she worked in various roles at area businesses, always bringing her kindness and dependability with her. Yet she would often say that her most cherished and rewarding work was caring for her home and the family she loved so dearly.
Judy found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She was especially proud of her awe-inspiring Pyrex collection, delighting in the thrill of the hunt and carefully growing her assortment of colors and patterns over the years. She treasured her peaceful early mornings spent birdwatching, checking on the Aukes Show Cattle, sharing coffee with friends, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
She loved gathering around a table filled with good food and lively conversation, keeping up with the exciting happenings in the lives of those she cared about. Judy was a gentle encourager, always urging others to pursue what they love. Her warmth, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
