John Rodney "Rod" Roose

John Rodney "Rod" Roose was born October 14, 1956 at the Waverly Hospital. He was baptized, 
November 4, 1956 and then confirmed April 4, 1971 at St John Lutheran Church, Clarksville, IA 
On August 13, 1988, Rod was joined in marriage with Lynn Burco.  That union was blessed
with Amber Marie and Courtney Lynn. Rodney and Lynn were later divorced.

Rod loved speed.  He did speed checks at a local timed track and later, Rod, his wife, his mother and daughters
had a garden tractor pulling team. It was Three Generations pulling together. 

Rod worked at Nestle in Waverly where he was a lift truck driver.  He entered disability retirement
in  2013.  His health deteriorated and he died at Mercy One-Covenant in Waterloo on January 25, 2021.

Rod chose to be cremated.  A Memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Rod is survived by his wife Karolyn, two daughters- Amber and Courtney, Mother -Lois, one sister- 
Rhonda Bandfield and 7 grand-children.
His proceeded in death by his father, John E. Roose in 2005.
