Jerald Wayne Heeren, 83, of Allison, Iowa died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison, Iowa. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory, Allison is caring for Jerald and his family.
Jerald was born on December 8, 1940, to Eilt and Flora (Henrichs) Heeren in Butler County, Iowa. He graduated from Allison-Bristow High School in 1959. From 1959 to 1962, he served in the U.S. Army.
Jerald was united in marriage to Judy (Bruns) on January 30, 1965, at the Bethel Reformed Church in Kesley, Iowa. He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator. A member of St. James Lutheran Church in Allison, Iowa throughout his life, he also served on the church council. He was a lifelong member of Amvets and a member of the American Legion. Known for his strong work ethic and love of family, Jerald enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing cards and checkers, and working with horses.
He is survived by his daughters: Coleen Johnson (Jim Wessels) and Cheryl (Bill) Clauson; son: Chad; grandchildren: Tyler Johnson, Meghan Johnson, Michele Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Mason Clauson, and Aiden Clauson; great-granddaughter Kollins Johnson; brothers Donald (Carol Mitchell) and Roger (Sonia); and sister Eileen Nelson.
Jerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy, brother-in-law Dean Nelson, and an infant brother.
No services will be held at this time.
