Jenise Ann Busching, 61

Jenise Ann Busching, age 61, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the daughter of Lavern Otto and Ruth Ann (DeGroote) Busching on April 3, 1963, in Charles City, Iowa.  She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Clarksville, Iowa.  Jenise attended the Clarksville Community Schools.

In 1978, Jenise met Darwin Dale Mobley and they were together until Darwin’s passing.  Jenise and Darwin lived in the country between Aplington and Parkersburg.  Jenise was a loving partner and mother.  She loved animals, especially her cats.  Jenise did not like staying at home, she liked being out and about with a Pepsi in her hand.  Jenise especially enjoyed being around her family and friends.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Jenise died at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, of natural causes.  Jenise is preceded in death by her significant other of 43 years, Darwin Mobley, on September 19, 2021; her parents, Lavern and Ruth Busching; and her nephews, Keith and Daniel Lucas.

Jenise is survived by her son, James Mobley (Emily Bennett) of Parkersburg; Darwin’s mother, Myrna Mobley of Aplington; two brothers, Garry (Kathy) Busching of Waverly and Greg Busching of Henderson, Iowa; two sisters, Brenda (Jeff) Keene of Alliance, Ohio, and Michelle (David) Lucas of Clarksville.

Funeral Services were held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Church of Christ in Clarksville, with Pastor Val Swinton officiating the service. “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “When I Get Where I’m Going” by Brad Paisley, and “Roses for Mama” by Red Sovine were provided as special music. Special memories were shared by Michelle Lucas. Interment was held in the Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville with David Lucas, Nick Peters, and Garry Busching serving as Casket Bearers.
