James Seehusen, 64

James Seehusen, 64, of Allison, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home. Public visitation took place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2023, at Woodley Funeral Home in Allison. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Vilmar near Greene. Burial took place in the Vilmar Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home is caring for James and his family. 



James was born August 20, 1959, to parents George and Bernice (DeBower) Seehusen. He was baptized September 27, 1959, and confirmed May 12, 1974 - both at St. John's - Vilmar. He graduated from Allison High School in 1977. James lived in Butler County his whole life. He was a lifelong farmer, and drove semi for local grain elevators when he had the time. James also served as a member of the Allison Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years. 



In his free time James could often be found snowmobiling if the weather was right. In the warmer months he enjoyed fishing, both locally and on trips to Minnesota. Whatever he was doing, James always had friends with him. He always looked forward to his weekly security meetings with his friends. James loved spending time with his nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. 



Left to cherish James' memory include his brothers; Jeff (Carol) Seehusen and Joel (Cindy) Seehusen, nephews; Brent (Kristen) Seehusen, Clint (Amy) Seehusen, Curt (Susan) Seehusen, Marc (Jennifer) Seehusen, Tyler (Laura) Seehusen, Jared Seehusen, and Matthew (Amanda) Seehusen, aunt; Eileen Berends, and by a whole bunch of grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and close friends. 



He was preceded in death by his parents.
