Allan Bean

Allan Ernest Bean, age 68, passed away on July 28, 2022 at his home.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022, at Hitesville Gospel Hall in rural Aplington, with burial in the Hitesville Cemetery. A visitation was held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home, 308 Birch Street, Allison.

Allan was born on March 24, 1954 in Charles City, son of Russell Andy and Irene Sophie (Ferch) Bean.

Allan attended Charles City school graduating in 1972. After graduating Allan married Roberta Burns, to this union was born a daughter, Jennifer.

Allan worked at White Farm after high school. Having a serious car accident, Allan was not able to work.

Allan got saved through John 3:18. The Lord opened his eyes that he was condemned already revealing that Jesus took his place on the cross at that moment Allan received everlasting life. Lord of his life October 7, 1978.

On June 18, 1994 Allan married Greta Bohn of Bristow. They lived by Bristow until April 2022 making their final home in Allison.

Allan enjoyed mowing lawn, going on walks, and most importantly starting every day by reading his Bible. Allan was in fellowship with the Christians at Antioch Gospel Hall near Clarksville.

Allan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Greta; one daughter, Jennifer, two brothers: Donald (Judy) Bean and John Bean both of Charles City; one grandson Jacob Robert, four sisters: Lorraine Tumilson, Charles City; Sandy (Dennis) Kamaus, Waverly; Mary Lou Brakel, Charles City and Rose Justus, Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Irene Bean, brother Larry Ferch, brothers-in-law: David Tumilson and Larry Brakel.

Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Allison is cared for Allan and his family.
