Coach Timmermans receives award

Clarksville Girls basketball coach Ross Timmermans was presented with the E. Wayne Cooley “You Can Award” given by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association in honor of the longtime Executive Secretary of the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, E. Wayne Cooley.
     The Coaches award recognizes coaches who are successful in building a varsity program.
     “The coach must show the elements of good character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship). The varsity coach must have completed a successful rejuvenation of their program or is successfully building their program into a winning program,” the award’s criteria states.
     The award was presented to Timmermans by Clarksville Principal Robert Saathoff.
