Hometown Entrepreneurs: Dumont Harken Lumber

Customer service is the key word at Harken Lumber in Dumont, a small-town lumberyard that focuses on being the place to stop for anyone who needs lumber or hardware.
     “We have good customer service and a pretty wide variety of products for a small store,” employee Tory Klahsen said.
     The lumberyard designs homes and kitchen cabinets, and finds carpenters and other contractors to get the job done.
     “We do new houses, remodels, roofing, new cabinets, kitchens, bathrooms, shingles, new windows…” office manager Brittany Gronewold said. “We sell hardware inside: sheetrock, plumbing, electric supplies, paint, garage doors, interior and exterior doors and mill work. We’re a one-stop shop.”
