Wedeking to serve as Language Arts teacher

“It feels good to be home,” Katie Wedeking said.

A graduate of Clarksville High School, Wedeking earned her bachelor’s degree in English Secondary Teaching from UNI and substitute taught in Clarksville. For the past two years, she has worked as a high school English teacher and junior high basketball coach at North Tama. But coming home to teach at Clarksville when the position came open seemed natural.

“I know most of these students and their families, and I like the small-town feel,” Wedeking said. “I’m also kind of involved in the sports and extracurriculars already.”
