CEDAR RAPIDS – Clarksville junior Kori Wedeking will make her third straight state cross country trip after finishing seventh at the qualifier held at Noelridge Park hosted by Cedar Rapids Washington last week.
Wedeking, who finished 12th in her previous two state meets, will seek a third medal as she heads to Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge for the Saturday, Oct. 27 Class 1A state meet.
It has been a difficult season, with not many races available because of weather and course conditions with Wedeking dropping out of the rankings with little exposure, but she posted a time of 20 minutes, 38.49 seconds, which was good enough to advance.
The full story appears in the Oct. 25 print edition of the Clarksville Star.
