Water rates to return to what they were

ALLISON — The City Council green-lighted amending water rates, which will return to what they were before a November increase.
  Water rates were inadvertently changed in an ordinance that increased sewer rates, which was adopted on Oct. 15.
  “It was just supposed to be the sewer rates that were increased, not the water,” City Clerk Glenda Miller said, “but it was a misunderstanding when the ordinance was written by the attorney, and he increased the water rates as well.”
  Refunds will be issued, Miller said, noting a fellow city staffer hand-figured each customer’s refund amount.
