Wage increase tabled after two ties

ALLISON — After splitting 2-2 on two separate motions, City Council tabled a wage increase for fiscal 2016 on Monday, June 22.
  "Wages, for next month?" Mayor Scot Henrichs asked the council after the unsuccessful votes. "If you don't do anything right now, it will stay."
  First, a motion by Councilman Jim Blockhus for a 2 percent across-the board increase for full-time and permanent part-time employees, seconded by Councilman Jerry Platter, tied 2-2.
