A trip to Niagara Falls and Washington D.C.

Residents at ABCM d/b/a Rehabilitation Center of Allison recently enjoyed a presentation from administrator Kathy Miller filled with photos from her trips to Niagara Falls, Gettysburg and Washington D.C.
     This October, Miller had vacation days she had to use or lose, so when her mom and dad, Don and Judy Litterer from Shell Rock, asked if she’d like to take a trip with them, she was game.
     Their first stop was the visitor center in Buffalo, New York, where they took a photo of the I Love NY sign. From there, they drove to the town of Niagara Falls, arriving at their hotel, two blocks from the park, around mid-afternoon.
     Since tourist season was over, many of the little shops were closed. Miller’s mom, Judy, wanted to stay at the hotel, so Miller and her dad walked down for a first view of the falls: American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. They walked around on the paths on the American side, and looked down from the observation deck.
