CLARKSVILLE — Clarksville School District taxes are up, and administrators addressed the increase at Thursday's meeting.
Clarksville is proposing to levy $13.57320 per $1,000 assessed valuation for fiscal 2016, payable in fall 2015 to spring 2016, about 66 cents higher that taxes due last fall and this spring. That's also 33 cents lower per $1,000 than was payable on 2013-14 taxes and $2.83 lower than on 2012-2013 taxes.
Administrators built the largest budget they could for fiscal 2016, Superintendent Eric Wood said.
