   C. Dale Boelman, President of the Butler County Farm Bureau, is pleased to announce sponsorship of the upcoming primary candidate forum to be held May 23, beginning at 7 p.m.  The purpose of the forum is to provide the registered Republicans in those districts a better understanding of the candidates seeking to be included as their party’s candidate on the November election.
The candidates seeking the Butler County Republican Party Designation for District 2 are Tim Junker and Tom Heidenwirth and for District 3 are Rusty Eddy and Derek Harken.  These candidates have confirmed they will attend.
The BCFB will host the forum at the Allison Library.  For those not able to attend, the forum will be provided on air live on KLMJ and KQCR stations.  This forum will also be simulcasted on both radio stations and recorded for interested citizens to hear following the evening on the KLMJ/KQCR website.
The forum will feature questions developed by the Farm Bureau committee. The forum will be moderated by KLMJ staff with questions provided by the Butler County Farm Bureau.  (The questions will not be available for review prior to the forum.) Any Butler County Farm Bureau member desiring to submit a question for consideration by the committee may submit the question to butler.county@ifbf.orgby noon on Monday, May 21.
To begin the forum, each candidate will have an opening statement followed by the questions.   To conclude the forum, each candidate will be offered the opportunity for closing remarks. This will not be a debate.
