A windstorm that swept the area the morning of Monday, June 22 wreaked havoc on the Packard elevator, damaged two telephone poles in Dumont and snapped many a tree.
Two bins collapsed and a third caved in at Innovative Ag Services in Packard, said Brent Schipper, who manages the site. The storm also removed the roofs of seven structures and knocked down all conveyors, catwalks and grain legs at the site. Most of the bin roofs that remained also sustained damage, Schipper said.
Butler County Secondary Roads staff spent Monday on storm cleanup.
