Richard Calvin Aissen, 58

Richard Calvin Aissen, 58, of Greene, passed away Monday, December 5, at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City. 

Funeral services was 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 9, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Burial was at a later date at the Allison Cemetery. Visitation was 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Allison. To reflect Richard’s style, casual dress is requested by his family.

Richard was born in Charles City on November 6, 1964, a son of Dennis and Connie (Hearn) Aissen of Allison.

Richard graduated from Allison-Bristow High School with the class of 1984. Richard was known as a car guy and loved the Dukes of Hazzard. He even owned his own General Lee. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. He was an active member of the Cedar Valley Engine Club, an avid listener of 104.9 KLMJ, and worked over 12 years at Sukup in Sheffield.

He is survived by his siblings: Cheryl Palmer; Dallas Aissen; DeAnn Aissen; his children: Stephanie Aissen; Danielle Cole; his partner Kristen Cobb and her 4 children along with 6 grandchildren. He has many other relatives and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by: his parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Engine Club.
