Remembering their sacrifice - Memorial Day in Clarksville

Due to rainy weather, the Clarksville Memorial Day Service was held in the AMVETS Hall. Rain didn’t seem to affect the turnout, as over 100 area residents attended to remember fallen heroes.
     AMVETS Commander Dan Forry opened the service and served as the master of ceremonies.
     “Today is a day that we honor American servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives for our country,” Forry said.
     The national anthem was played by the Clarksville High School Band, and Pastor Joan Thomas offered the invocation.
