The Proud Image Barbershop Chorus presented a selection of mostly patriotic and gospel tunes at their concert at Wilder Park on Wednesday, July 19.
Weather was perfect, and about 85 were in attendance as the evening kicked off with the Star Spangled Banner and a salute to the armed forces, recognizing veterans.
“I thought it was very excellent and very appropriate,” said Duane Feltz of the Park Board. “As an old navy man, I appreciated the song appreciating those who served in one of the military branches, and they had a nice variety … good toe-tappers, which I enjoyed very much.”
A quartet from the group added more variety, and gospel selections included “The Lord’s Prayer,” “How Great Thou Art” and “It is Well with My Soul.”
