A little rain couldn’t dampen festivities during Plainfield Days or keep the American Pride Parade off Main Street.
     The Grand Marshall Float this year was by Kendra’s Cakes—a patriotically decorated cake surrounded by walking cupcakes who handed out edible cupcakes to bystanders. Citizens of the year were Randy and Dee Liddle.
     Brianna Bienemann was crowned Miss Plainfield 2018, and Grayson Bloker and Autumn Kramer were Little Mr. and Miss Plainfield.
     The parade featured a few classes, including the 50-year class from Plainfield High School, many local businesses and organizations, firetrucks and ambulances, vintage cars, tractors, horses, riders and wagons, and politicans.
