Are you looking for a relaxing way to unwind and socialize after a busy day? You no longer need to travel to the Cedar Valley for art and culture. Louise Kramer and daughters Kelsey Doty and Melanie Vance are on a mission to bring the joy of art to Clarksville through Paint Splatters by Louise art classes at the Open Door Youth Center.
“I know what painting has done for me as a stress reliever. It’s fun and I love doing it,” Louise Kramer said. “It’s fun to see people being able to do things they don’t think they can do.”
At their first event in April, 21 local artists joined in painting spring daisies. On Wednesday, July 18, they’ll be painting cattails at sunset or in moonlight.
With each class, light snacks and a drink are served. The idea is similar to art and wine events, but with non-alcoholic beverages since the event is at the youth center. The ladies are also willing to bring the events to private homes for parties.
