A passion for music: Comprehensive Sound Services records top bands and choirs in state

If you enjoyed watching All-State Band and Choir on IPTV this year, you were also listening to Comprehensive Sound Services at work.
     Rick and Melodie Chitty of Greene have a passion for music, and have worked running sound and recording music for All State Band and Choir, Opus Honor Choir and All-State Vocal Jazz for many years. They’ve also recorded the Iowa State Choirs for nearly 20 years.
     Recording engineer Rick Chitty started Comprehensive Sound Services 40 years ago, bringing a music educator’s understanding to the technical world of sound and recording. The business has been based out of Greene for the past 30 years.
     When the couple married 12 years ago, Melodie Chitty, who taught choir from 1976 to 2006, joined the team.
