One of nine needed easement agreements in for farm-to-market

Easement agreements are under way for the Allison portion of the farm-tomarket road, which is to span from Seventh Street at Linden to and including Main Street.
Sidewalk approaches will need to be replaced with Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps at 35 locations. This is up from the preliminary estimate.
“Of these locations, only nine locations have temporary construction easements that need to be acquired by the City as these locations have construction activities that extend outside the existing city owned street right of way,” city-contract Professional Engineer Lee Gallentine said.
“All contact with landowners to date has been via regular mail per the City Council’s direction,” said Gallentine, with Ryken Engineering and Land Surveying out of Ackley.
