GREENE – Due to injuries and illness, the North Butler football will forfeit its second straight game in as many weeks this Friday, Sept. 22.
This week, the Bearcats were scheduled to travel to their rival Nashua-Plainfield, but according to North Butler superintendent Joel Foster, the number of healthy players has not improved since last week.
“We continue to have student athletes recovering from many injuries,” Foster said. “Broken legs, knee injuries, Achilles tendon injuries, broken hands, torn tendons in the ankle and a host of other injuries.
“It does appear at the current time that we may have enough return from injury to be able to play the following week, Sept. 29.”
The full story appears in the Sept. 21 print edition of the Butler County Tribune-Journal.
