North Butler duo take top-six spots at Wartburg

WAVERLY – Two different North Butler track & field girl athletes finished among the top-six in events at the third and final Wartburg Indoor high school meet of the season.

Morgan Arjes raced to sixth in the 400-meter run in 1 minute, 7.04 seconds and Nicole Heeren tied for sixth in the shot put with an effort of 35 feet, 11 inches.

Heeren was the runner-up a year ago to kick off a very good season in which she won the discus and was state runner-up in the shot put. Teammate Kristen Dralle also had a good shot put, finishing 16th out of 54 competitors at 32-0.5.
