Norma J. Wubbena, 86

Norma J. Wubbena, 86, of Allison, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Norma will be laid to rest at the Allison Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home of Allison is caring for Norma and her family. 

Norma June Wubbena was born June 15, 1938, on the family farm in Butler County, daughter of Fred and Minnie (Wix) Endelman. She graduated from Allison High School, class of 1956. On July 23, 1957, Norma was united in marriage to Darwin Wubbena at the St. James Parsonage in Allison. To this union, four children were born. Norma stayed home to raise their children, while also providing daycare for other local children. When their children were grown, she began working at the Allison Care Center as a housekeeper. 

Norma was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. She enjoyed gardening and camping. Norma was a very hardworking and patient person, always putting others before herself.

Norma is survived by her husband Darwin Wubbena of Allison; children: Tom (Suzanne) Wubbena, Debra (Dana) Uhlenhopp, David (Kim) Wubbena and Lisa (Brad) Beadle; grandchildren: Matthew (Amy) Wubbena, Melissa Wubbena, Marcus (Brooke) Uhlenhopp, Indy (Joel) Gilson, Amber (Jeremy) Hansen, Michael (Emily) Wubbena, Brooke (Ben) Kain, Laney Beadle (Michael Biermann) and Brock (Alexis) Beadle; 19 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth (Pat) Feltus and brother Fredrick (Robi) Endelman; along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Laura (Duane) Wubbena.
