Newman rallies by Indians

CLARKSVILLE – A fired up Clarksville volleyball team stormed out to a 2-0 lead over Mason City Newman in this Class 1A Region 5 opener at home.
But the Knights regrouped and pulled off the 3-2 win to advance past the Indians on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Coach Brandon Zelle knew his squad caught the visiting team off-guard at the start.
“We probably played our best volleyball all in a matter of those first two sets,” Zelle said. “It was night-and-day difference. We started out fast, were hitting the ball harder, were attacking and moving, we were making them cry..."
