Meet the Clarksville Council Candidates
By Bethany Carson
Four candidates are running for the three open seats on the Clarksville council on November 7. Incumbents Dianne Renning and Roger Doty are seeking re-election. Todd Fails and Kai Brost are both running for a first term on the council. . Travis Sterken has not chosen to seek re-election. All candidates were given the same questions to answer, without follow-ups. The Clarksville Star has not vouched support for any candidate. This feature was done as a public service to voters ahead of the election.

Each candidate was given the following questions:
1.      Have you held an elected position before? If so, what position did you hold and for how long?
2.      How long have you lived in Clarksville, and what is your occupation?
3.      What is the most important issue facing the city of Clarksville today?
4.      What can the council do to resolve that issue?
5.      What perspective do you believe you bring to the council?
6.      What is your vision for Clarksville?
