VENTURA – It took a few years for North Butler cross country coach to convince Mady Klingenborg to come out for cross country.
He’s glad he did as the junior has run four meets so far and medaled in all four of them.
“She’s at it again!” Coach Kirk Clark said of Klingenborg. “She surprised her teammates and fans at the Clear Lake Invitational, finished the night that consisted of 95 runners from all around North Iowa with a seventh-place finish.
“She ran against some great competition and some very big schools at this race; she established herself early, pacing with the lead pack and continued to move ahead in the leaderboard throughout the whole race.."
