Kindergartners visit fire station

The Clarksville kindergarten class made their annual visit to the Clarksville fire department on Friday to mark fire prevention week.
     Throughout the week, students had learned about fire safety at school.
     Fire chief Jon Myers—who hosted the students along with Lieutenant Ryan McCully, fireman Kyle Lorenz and junior fireman Cade Hardy—asked students what they remembered.
     Looking for an exit (as there are always two ways out), not opening hot doors, making sure the house has smoke detectors, calling 911, and staying low to avoid smoke were all things that students mentioned.
