K & S Grocery & Variety to change hands

A commercial staple of Clarksville, K & S Grocery & Variety, has been sold to new owners and will continue to operate.
Starting Feb. 1, 2017, Matt and Mandy Kampman will be taking over.
Mandy Kampman is going to run the store, and Matt Kampman will continue in the employ of the city, said City Clerk Larry Betts, who oversees city staffing.
“I want to thank everyone who supported me over the past years and hope you will continue to do so with the new owners,” Owner Karen J. Miller wrote on one sign.
Gift certificates from K & S will need to be turned in by Feb. 1, 2017.
A Thank You Party for K & S Owner Karen J. Miller is slated for Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at Doc’s Restaurant in Clarksville, states another sign, which Miller’s employees wrote, she said.
“This party is to celebrate what Karen J. Miller has done for our a w e s o m e town,” the employees wrote. “We have a real grocery store, three times its original size. Karen put her money where her mouth is. She never quit giving to us."
