Jodi Bangasser was elected to the Allison council to fill the seat left by Ryan Henrichs, who chose not to seek reelection.
Bangasser is a life-long resident of the Allison area. She moved into town three years ago and works as a nurse practitioner at the Waverly Health Center. Her specialty, geriatrics, takes her on frequent visits to Butler County nursing homes.
She had considered running for city council for a while but didn’t realize it was time for the election in time to get on the ballot. She decided to run as a write-in candidate anyway.
“I’m interested in the community and learning more about local government. I spent nine years on the Board of Health and learned a lot there,” Bangasser said. “I want to give back to the community.”
