Jeanette Faye Leyen age 92

Jeanette Faye Leyen age 92, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the daughter of Leslie and Matilda (Wefel) Swick on February 21, 1932.

In 1949, Jeanette was united in marriage with Andy Frascht.  The couple were blessed with three girls, Teresa, Sheryl and Kathy.  The couple later divorced.

In 1986, Jeanette married Lloyd Leyen.

When Jeanette moved back to Clarksville, she became a member of her childhood church, United Church of Christ - Pleasant Valley, where she served on various committees.  

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Jeanette died at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.   Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Lloyd; her parents, Leslie and Matilda Swick; a son-in-law, Roger Sido; a sister, Evelyn Acton; a brother, Leonard Swick; and her first husband, Andy Frascht.

Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Teresa Sido of Rockwell, Sheryl (Richard Zambon) Frascht of Aviano, Italy, and Kathy Stiles (Tim Halverson) of Rockwell; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two stepchildren; nine step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; a sister Lavola Rohlwing of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the First United Church of Christ - Pleasant Valley, with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, both in rural Clarksville.
