It's plant and go during chilly day at Wilder

About 45 North Butler seventh-graders touched down at Wilder Park for an early and bone-chilling Arbor Day last Thursday. The group helped plant this year’s stock of city trees, with Allison Trees Forever Committee members and volunteers leading the way. One volunteer led each of the nine or so groups of students in the proper procedure of planting trees.

Pictured, Doc George North, an outdoors expert and Allison Trees Forever President, shows students the process of putting dirt back into the hole with the tree in it.   (Pat Racette Photo)
