Inspired by redemption: St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vilmar welcomes new pastor

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Vilmar is welcoming a new pastor August 1, Christopher Martin.
     Martin comes from Emmons Lutheran Church in Emmons, Minnesota, where he has served for the past 5.5 years. Before that, he served in a three-church parish in Pennsylvania for almost three years, and at Our Savior Lutheran in Audobon, Iowa for 2.5 years.
     The needs of the Vilmar church seemed the perfect match for Martin’s experience and calling in the ministry.
     “Pretty much from the first interview, there really was a strong pull and call toward that congregation,” Martin said.
