Indians take down then-No. 7 Janesville

CLARKSVILLE – Formerly Class 1A No. 8 Clarksville avenged its only loss so far this season against then-No. 7 Janesville to earn a 54-45 home win and pull into a tie for the Iowa Star Conference lead on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Four different Indians scored in double figures and their fifth starter tallied nine and survived foul trouble to improve to 11-1 overall, 6-1 in the ISC North.
After the win, Clarksville climbed to sixth and Janesville fell to eighth in the latest IGHSAU poll.
Clarksville also held on despite finishing 5-of-14 from the free throw line in the final 2 minutes, 50 seconds of the game and were 7-of-18 in the fourth quarter.
“Honestly, we handled the pressure pretty well, but we need to convert when we get to the free throw line,” Clarksville coach Ross Timmermans said...
