Indians remain unbeaten, claim North Butler tourney

ALLISON — Perfect at the North Butler tourney, perfect on the season, the Class 1A No. 3 Clarksville softball team ran its record to 18-0 by topping the host team in the title game.
The second time the Indians faced the Bearcats this week, the last time a 6-1 win at home, North Butler threw a different pitcher in each of the two games.
A 6-0 storm-shortened finale, Clarksville started a two-out rally against Alex Mathers in the third inning in which the Indians strung together six hits, followed by a hit by pitch and then another base knock for all six of their runs.
“I think the girls knew they had to get on the bats right away against North Butler, especially with the rain coming,” Clarksville coach Katie Wedeking said....
