CEDAR FALLS – A pair of girls’ top-20 finishes and despite only one counting long jump, Dylan Jacobs’ finish were among the Clarksville highlights of the Dickinson Indoor Relays held at the UNI-Dome on Monday and Tuesday, March 6-7.
Kori Wedeking ran to 18th in the 3,000-meter run and Emma Poppe finished in a tie for 18th in the high jump for the Indians on Monday.
Jacobs got one jump in at 18 feet, 7 inches, which was good for 51st in the preliminaries out of 112 total competitors, before he landed a spike on his palm on the second attempt, immediately springing up and running to the medical area on Tuesday.
The entire story will be found in the March 16 edition of the Clarksville Star.
