The Clarksville School Board will decide at their meeting Monday, November 20 whether to approve a Junior High and High School Football sharing agreement with North Butler starting next fall. The North Butler school district approved the agreement at their meeting November 13.
“I believe that sharing football would provide a great opportunity for the young men in both districts. It would allow us to play students at a level that is developmentally and age appropriate for them, which would in turn allow us to build a stronger program,” said North Butler Superintendent Joel Foster.
Foster noted that the school had not been able to play in sub-varsity level contests in the past year. He anticipates the sharing agreement with Clarksville, if approved, will give younger students the opportunity to complete in a complete junior varsity program.
“If we are looking what is in the best interest of our students’ well-being and development in the long term, then I believe that this is something that we as adults should provide for them,” Foster said.
Will Clarksville agree to the Indians and Bearcats joining forces?
