Herb Fest returns to Greene

For anyone looking for a place to shop and socialize on Sunday, July 30, Perrin Park in Greene was the place to go.
The Greene Herb Fest was brought to life again—after several years of dormancy—by local businesswomen Susan Needham, Connie Debner, Emily Ascher and Rita Barth, assisted by Wendy Burroughs.
It would be hard to call the herb fest anything other than a success. Vendors filled Perrin Park with not only the expected herbs, vegetables, and plants, but also jewelry, antiques, towels, pot holders, soaps and skin care products, artwork, plenty of good food and much more.
The weather was beautiful, and the park was humming with customers as local artists, including Two Juhls and a Gem, serenaded relaxing shoppers.
