Half a century of love: Tom and Anita Hardy mark 50 years

“You got to pull together, or you will pull apart. Don’t give up,” Anita Hardy said.
     Tom and Anita Hardy of Shell Rock believe teamwork is what keeps a marriage together. May 28 marks 50 years that strategy has worked. 
     The couple first met in November 1967 when Anita was a student at Wartburg College.
     “I was a student coming back from a birthday party with a cousin, and he was cruising the strip with his fancy new Camaro, and that was where we met,” Anita Hardy said.
