Faythe Lorraine Fox, 87

Faythe Lorraine Fox, 87, of Allison, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Allison Congregational Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in the Allison Cemetery. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Allison is caring for Faythe and her family.

Faythe was born January 14, 1935, to parents Henry and Effie (Arhens) Dickman. She graduated from Allison High School in 1953. On August 17 later that year, she married Ronald Fox in Washington D.C. To this union three children were born: Rick, Charmaine, and Sally. Faythe and Ronald raised their family together in and around Allison.

She was a selfless woman, always more concerned about the wellbeing of others rather than her own. Family was everything to Faythe, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.

Faythe enjoyed playing cards with friends and neighbors, primarily Up and Down the River and 500. Flowers brought her joy, as did cooking for her family. She also enjoyed watching her Iowa Hawkeyes compete in various sports.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Charmaine Power of Albia, IA and Sally (Jack) Grutz of Bellevue, IA; granddaughters, Kayla Grutz of Casper, WY and Courtney (Zack) Konetski of Maple Grove, MN; and great-grandchildren Erwin and Molly Konetski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronald; son Rick; son-in-law, Ed Power; and her siblings and their spouses, Emery (Margaret) Dickman and Irene (Harvey) Brinkman.
