Faces at North Butler: Meet science teacher Jordan Vanderloop

    Jordan Vanderloop is in his 6th year at North Butler schools.  He started out teaching English and Language Arts, and then was switched to 5th and 6th grade Science.
    He attended Waldorf and then Upper Iowa to achieve his teaching degree, before going on to Buena Vista to get his Master’s Degree.
    Vanderloop made the decision to become a teacher after being highly influenced by some of his high school teachers.
    When asked what he likes about teaching, Vanderloop replied “I like some of [the student’s] stories, the activities I can be involved in with them, and watching them develop."
