Dustin Lutterman is a Title I teacher at North Butler Elementary, where he has taught for the past seven years.
For Lutterman, each day starts with gym duty, walking and talking with kids in the gym as they get off the busses. He prepares for the day’s work and at 8:30 starts working with small groups of four to six kids in kindergarten to fourth grade for half hour time slots.
“It gives kids an extra boost, extra help every day to get better at reading,” said Lutterman.
Students in Title I work on reading comprehension. This year Lutterman is also teaching three small groups Title I math.
