Everett Kromminga

Everett Menno Kromminga, age 91, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the son of Benjamin and Emma (Mulder) Kromminga on September 25, 1930, on their family farm near Austinville, Iowa. Everett received his education through the 8th grade from the Austinville school.

Everett was united in marriage with Donna Mae Dirksen on June 9, 1949, in Popejoy, Iowa. Later the couple made their home and farmed on Everett’s family farm near Austinville. To this union five children were born. In 1964, they sold the family farm and moved to Clarksville, Iowa, where they farmed for seven years. In 1971, after selling the farm the couple owned and operated D-X Station in Clarksville for a few years. Later Everett worked various jobs in the Clarksville area before retiring in 1998. He then ran a rural country route for the Courier before retiring after 20 years.

In his spare time, Everett had a love for tinkering. He could fix almost anything and would never give up until it was fixed. He also saved everything in case it was ever needed for future projects.
