Eagle Scout project brings gazebo to Dumont Main Street

The Dumont Main Street garden is even more welcoming this fall with the addition of a gazebo, thanks to the efforts of Triston Ufford, a Hampton-Dumont senior working on earning his Eagle Scout badge.
     “I love it. It’s awesome,” said city clerk Rhonda Schmitt. “He’s an awesome kid, and he did a good job.”
     Ufford opted for an octagonal design. Building the gazebo was a slow process, but everything eventually came together.
     “It took a good two or three weeks to build,” Ufford said. “There’s not a single 90-degree cut on there.”
